About Journal

The Journal of Agriculture was a scientific research journal in the field of agricultural sciences at the Aburaihan Campus (now Faculty of Agricultural Technology) of the University of Tehran, published from 1999 to 2009. In the fall of 2009, the Journal of Agriculture ceased operations by splitting into four journals: Animal Production, Agricultural Agronomy, Crop and Horticultural Breeding, and Water and Irrigation Management. In this way, the validity of the Journal of Animal Production was confirmed on October 22, 2009 and its first issue (continuing the Journal of Agriculture) was published in 2010 (Volume 12, Issue 2, Autumn and Winter 2010The Journal of Animal Production was published bi-quarterly until 2016 and has been published quarterly since spring 2016. Since September 2013, acceptance, review and publication of manuscripts in the Journal of Animal Production have been carried out electronically. According to the assessment of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) and the Evaluation Office of Scientific Research Journals (the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology), the Journal of Animal Production has always been among the top journals in the field of animal and poultry sciences in the country. Currently, its scientific rank is “A”, based on the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology's rating in 1402.
